This tour is perfect for someone who wants to discover Split off beaten path and see the part of town well known for its traditional lifestyle. On this tour, a guide will take you on a walking tour around one of the most interesting parts of Split – Varoš. You will see the old houses, churches, narrow streets (kaleta) and see the fishermen area called Matejuška. At the end of the tour you can optionally enjoy local snacks and wine.

Walking Tour Varoš – Split off beaten path

This tour will show you an unique part of Split called Varoš. Varoš is the place known for its peasant and fishermen inhabitants. It is the place where locals enjoy traditional lifestyle and where you can see how it was to live in the area. Varoš is full of narrow streets, small houses and churches.

With the professional tourist guide you will see and walk through this part of town. You can join this tour after having our basic walking tour Split or maybe start discovering Split with this tour. Main sights on this tour are Matejuška bay, Church of St. Frane, St. Mikula, St. Križ, St. Luka and other. Finally, you can go for a grilled fish “gavuni” (small fish common in cuisine of locals) and homemade bread (surcharge). This tour can be extended to the amazing Split view point Vidilica or maybe to optional wine tasting in the neighbourhood. This tour gives you an opportunity to see the local fisherman as he works.
